It’s critical to put your best foot forward when exhibiting at a tradeshow. They say first impressions count and when people are walking past your exhibition stand, in and amongst your biggest competitors, you have about 5 seconds to visually convince them you’re the best. So how do you do this?
The exhibition stand has to be visually appealing. It is the face of your company; it needs to convey your key messages, personality, products, past successes and future aspiration. Whether you have a 3m x 3mm stand or a 25m x 16m mega show floor space, you have the opportunity to maximise the experience by having a great tradeshow stand that entices people to come and talk to you whilst acting as a professional face of the company.

Convey your messages
Remember that this is your chance to get your first impression across, so make it meaningful. Don’t just list the features of your product, go back to marketing 101 basics and talk about the benefits that your product or service offers to customers. Don’t print massive acronyms across the side of your stand, display keywords that will mean something to your audience like efficient, effective or money-saving.
Analyse the space you have to convey key messages, you might even like to create floor decals to enliven the zone, or add a custom 3D object to the entry of the stand to grab people’s attention and draw them in.
Have useful space
If you can add another storey to the exhibition stand, to accommodate your own networking function, this adds not only additional room, but many opportunities to stand out. Most importantly create a space conducive to doing business and making connections as that’s the purpose of exhibiting.
